CSS Challenge - Week 9

Tue Jul 28, 2015, 3:24 PM

Two challenges this week, Hope you're not tired of summer yet!  I'm enjoying the remainder of my summer break until we start up another year of school.  I expect the frequency of my articles are going to slow down.  I'll work with the other Super Babes to ensure we at least have the #CSSChallenge and #thisweekcss including tips for coding.  We are running low on tips, comment or note us requests for advice or send in your own tips and you will be mentioned in the article.

As many of you may know, we have opened up tips donations and are going to run a skin fundraiser for CSS-Babes to become Super once again.  If you are making a CSS, go ahead and submit it to the SuperBabes Skin Pointraiser Gallery.  All can submit, you do not need to be a member.  We are accepting skins, commissions, journal graphics, custom boxes, profile designs, code snippets, etc.  Or use #SuperBabesCSS to tag your work for others to find.

Submit Here

On the folder, I have a suggested prices range, but you are welcomed to choose your amount.  If you wish me to list your item in my personal journal as a Premium Content purchase, please send me a note GillianIvy for details.

Challenge : Water Lilies

:iconcelvas: suggested by Celvas

I love a pond filled with water lilies as the sun reflects off the water and frogs and dragonflies dance across the surface.  The thought makes me think of Claude Monet paintings.  And I'm transported to a summer day by the water underneath a willow tree listening to the birds and watching the butterflies.  I see greens with splashes of pinks and purples of plant life; and a deep blue and brown of the water.  Design a CSS (journal, gallery or profile) of whatever water lilies would mean to you.

Challenge : Friendship Day (August 1st)

:iconjournalcss: suggested by journalcss

When you need a friend, or when a friend needs you.  Laughter and joy, tears and anguish...  Together through it all.  I miss and love all my friends, I've had so many.  Miles and years separate us, but when we're together again, it will be just like no time has passed.  Friends are the family you choose.  Celebrate your friendships and make a skin inspired by them.  Friendship bracelets and BFF hearts, whatever makes you think of the friendships you treasure.

Much loves and CSS!

Hello everyone!

I have an idea for an open source library for skin creators with things such as blank templates, snippets, tips and tricks and more.

Please let me know what you think!…

When uploading a journal skin, how do I get a preview image for it? Before, I've just previewed it in the journal skin writer and taken a picture of half of it with my snipping tool, but I've seen other people upload them with full and better preview images of them, and I want to be like those people but I don't know what to do. Help? :hmm:
